Our Instructors

Our vision is to share and preserve the techniques passed down to us by our teachers, Sifu Tim Tackett, Sifu Bob Bremer and Sifu Jim Sewell.

Our goal is to provide Jeet Kune Do practitioners from all over the world access to the most complete Chinatown Jeet Kune Do video tutorials and training program available.

Tim Tackett

Tim began his JKD journey in 1971, as part of the backyard JKD group Dan Inosanto began after Bruce Lee had closed his L.A. Chinatown school shortly before moving to Hong Kong to star in The Big Boss.

The class consisted of about 10 students including Bob Bremer, Dan Lee, Richard Bustillo, Jerry Poteet, and Pete Jacobs. Later Chris Kent, Ted Lucaylucay, and Jeff Imada joined a second class.

In 1973, Dan Inosanto honored Tim with the rank of Senior First and he was given permission to teach a small Jeet Kune Do group, and has continued to teach JKD to a select number of students in his garage and in seminars worldwide.

Jeremy Lynch

Jeremy Lynch started his martial arts training at the age of seven studying Tae Kwon Do. After six years of Tae Kwon Do he moved to the Redlands area and was fortunate to be accepted into Tim Tackett’s personal training group; where he trained directly under Tim Tackett, Bob Bremer, Bert Poe, Jim Sewell and Dennis Blue.

He has been a part of the Jeet Kune Do scene for over thirty years and is a Senior Full Instructor under the Wednesday Night Group in Redlands, and a founding member of the Chinatown JKD Association.

Jeremy has also been fortunate to have trained with many of the original Bruce Lee students, and have assisted Sifu Tim Tackett at various seminars.

Dennis Blue

D.M. Blue has more than 40 years under the mentoring of Tim Tackett and original Bruce Lee students Bob Bremer, Jim Sewell and Pete Jacobs; and is a Senior Full Instructor uner the Wednesday Night Group.

He has taught seminars around the world with the Wednesday Night Group, the former Bruce Lee Educational Foundation and the Bruce Lee Foundation; as well as independent seminars in Europe and the continental U.S.

His diverse background in formal Asian, Pacific Island, Western, European and Russian Martial Arts brings a unique flavor to the practicality of his lessons. In addition to these attributes he has a background in Law Enforcement, Executive Protection, and the U.S. Military.

Steven Resell

Steven Resell has more than 40 years of experience in martial arts across multiple disciplines, and has more than 25 years of training in Jeet Kune Do.

He has been teaching martial arts in Southern California since 1993 and has been fortunate to have received instructor ranking under several JKD lineages. Steven was honored with a Full Instructorship by Sifu Tim Tackett and the Wednesday Night Group in 2014; and is a founding member of the Chinatown JKD Association.
